The Big Boy, Orea's latest brewing innovation, applies the philosophy of their smaller brewers to this larger format and delivers a brew quality which is unparalleled at this capacity.
The Big Boy works across an optimal dose range of 40g-60g of coffee for 600ml to 1 litre. You can go as low as 32g or as high as 80g with the right recipe, but best results will be achieved with larger pours (200ml+ per pour).
The distinctive bottom design of The Big Boy incorporates a set of teeth to ensure the paper remains perfectly upright, allows air flow beneath the bed and provides a clear passage for water across the whole surface of the brewer. This supports even, accurate and quick brews which deliver precise and consistent flavours in the final cup.
